Last night we had an intimate and intriguing post-show talk about the LGBT spirituality with the cast and a special guest. Thanks to the crew and to the audience who participated. December 14th was so much fun. It was great to see Noel, Eric, Eleanor, Jay, Travis, Brice, Betsy, Mike, Peter, and many other friends. So many peeps showed up! The drinks were excellent, the staff was nice, and the atmosphere was relaxed and chill. Thanks Cafe Boheme and SpaceTaker.

Auditions for FABULOUS and UNCIVIL are coming up on December 6th. I wanted to share a little bit about what an auditioner can expect. We are looking for generous actors, but unfortunately auditions tend to bring out the worst in actors. The two extremes are needy and greedy ones or arrogant and precious ones. In order to make this audition a process of discovery, we will be interviewing the actors. We want to learn something about the actual person and not just the "actor." We also want to make sure that the cast and the directors are good fits. We would prefer that actors be familiar with THE MOST FABULOUS STORY EVER TOLD by Paul Rudnick. Knowing some details about the the playwright's style and some of his other work will impress us. The test of acting ability will come with a cold reading, which means giving the actors a brief amount of time to look over a scene and character. It's not easy and it can be nerve racking, but actors should remember to breathe and make bold choices in action, voice and relationship. I am really looking forward to finding our cast. We have collected some awesome things to sell at the Unhinged Yard Sale on 12/05. A suit of armor, a telescope, artwork, a high chair are among the most interesting things. But we need more. Does anyone want to get rid on gently used futons, chest of drawers, desks, tables, sporting goods, electronics, books, movies, or dishes?
